UN World Interfaith Harmony Week event in Eureka – Press release

St Innocent Orthodox Church will host a lecture and conversation on Muslim – Christian dialogue as part of a global UN and EUCLID sponsored week-long event dedicated to interfaith harmony. The Rev. Pr. Laurent Cleenewerck, a native of France and former resident of the French capital, will reflect on the recent events of Paris and San Bernardino as part of a presentation urging continued and constructive dialogue between Christians and Muslim. Based on the A Common Word document published in 2007, the UN EUCLID World Interfaith Harmony Week is part of an international week-long series of events dedicated to fostering dialogue and mutual respect between faith communities. The Eureka event, organized in cooperation with HSU’s Religious Studies department, will take place on Wednesday February 3rd at 5 PM and is open to the public.
